1. Treated myself to rock candy and champagne! You would be shocked how difficult it is to find rock candy. Had to go to three different places! 

2. Found some cute new pillows (only 5 bucks!) from Ikea this weekend. Oh, and my pup thinks the arm rest is just for him. He is probably right. 

3. The Dallas skyline. I went to a downtown vintage flea market on Saturday with some Pi Phi friends! Snapped this pic on the way home! 

4. Cheerwine! This North Carolina staple was just sitting on the shelf at Specs! Had to grab it! 

5. Got matching stockings for me and my pup! 

6. Spent an insane amount of time making custom drink stirrers. A little worried about my sanity after that venture. 

7. Grabbed the JCrew luggage everyone has been pinning! Too bad it is a little girls overnight bag :( sad face.

Weekend in the Rearview

I had a fabulous weekend with my partner in crime Magen! She came to Dallas for the first time to visit me. We had a fabulous (and by fabulous I mean uber-fabulous) brunch on Saturday at Bistro 31 in Highland Park with champagne and bloody mary's! The night before we pampered ourselves to blowouts at dry bar in Plano followed by dinner at Taco Diner, a Dallas staple. Then Saturday night we painted the town red in Uptown with dinner at Cru and drinks afterwards.

It was a fabulous weekend and much needed. I found some cute Christmas cards at Northpark mall, and you can see all of our purchases stacked up on my Kitchen Island. Successful is an understatement!

I also used Magen's visit as an excuse to finally properly stock my bar cart! Loving having this addition to my cozy little apartment!

So this happened...

So I have two jobs technically. One is the 8-5 position, the other is freelance for my favorite group of people at Fusion Tanning Studios. I just love everything about the beauty industry and thoroughly enjoy doing marketing and graphic design geared toward women, so it really doesn't feel like work (even though I have been averaging 30+ hours a week!). #overloaded

In Nashville this weekend was the Smart Tan Tanning Convention. This is when the entire industry basically just gets together and celebrates with cocktails and new product launches. Incidentally  I forgot to spray tan before I went, so I stuck out like a sore thumb... ah well!

Well, I am a DIE HARD Dallas Cowboys fan, mostly because they always seem to produce the cutest payers (Tony Romo, Jason Witten... look em up). Well, in Nashville THIS happened....

How pretty are they! I thought about checking this off as "Meeting a celebrity" on my 30 by 30 list, but seeing as  I couldn't tell you their names I've decided to just enjoy the experience!
